SCHEU-DENTAL CELEBRATES 100 YEARS

On April 21, 1926, our founder, dentist Rudolf Scheu, laid the foundation for a company that has established itself as a reliable partner to the dental industry for over a century. We look back with pride on 100 years of innovation, quality, and excellent collaboration with our customers and trade partners.

With our Dental Experience, we have been contributing to simplifying daily work in laboratories and practices with modern solutions for 100 years.

Our product range extends from pioneering thermoforming technology to digital orthodontics and dental sleep medicine, all the way to innovative 3D printing processes, setting standards that are recognized far beyond Germany.

We thank our customers and trade partners for their trust, loyalty, and collaborative partnership over many years. This trust motivates us to continue transforming challenges into opportunities together with you in the future.

What is our tradition?

Tradition

We do what we can - and have been doing so for a very long time. We have been supplying the dental industry with high-quality dental technology since 1926. In the process, we have developed some classics that are still decisive today in terms of function and durability: for example, the SCHEU anchor. But it is not only our products and our expertise that make up the tradition at SCHEU-DENTAL.

An integral part of our company history is the responsibility we take for our region and our employees. We employ over 300 people, some of whom have not only worked for us for several decades, but often for several generations. We are proud of this, because our employees are the face of our company.

With the new BIOSTAR® 4-Aligner multiple-layer thermoforming machine and the innovative UNIQ thermoforming foil, which achieves with just one layer what is otherwise possible with multi-layer materials, SCHEU-DENTAL is setting new standards for efficiency and convenience in aligner production.

The management team consists of Markus Bappert, Chairman of the Management Board, Yong-min Jo, Ph. D., Managing Director Corporate Development, and Alexander Müller, Managing Director Finance.

With a new five-story building, SCHEU-DENTAL is expanding its production and storage capacity at its Iserlohn site by around 3,000 m² – another milestone for growth and securing its future.

The introduction of 3D printing significantly changed the generative manufacturing processes in orthodontics.

Introduction of CA® CLEAR ALIGNER In 2011, CA DIGITAL introduced the CA® CLEAR ALIGNER for invisible tooth corrections

Spatial expansion In the year 2000, SCHEU-DENTAL expanded its warehouse and office space of the head office in Iserlohn.

Entry into sleep medicine In the mid-1990s, SCHEU-DENTAL expanded its portfolio to include dental sleep medicine.

Market launch of MINISTAR® In 1992, SCHEU-DENTAL expanded its thermoforming unit programme with the MINISTAR® a compact pressure moulding unit with scanning technology.

New headquarters in Iserlohn. In 1967, SCHEU-DENTAL moved its company headquarters from Hagen to Iserlohn Iserlohn, around 20 kilometres away.

Introduction of the BIOSTAR® thermoforming technique. The BIOSTAR® is the universal pressure moulding unit for all dental thermoforming applications and sets new standards in the dental industry.

Market launch of SCHEU anchors In 1955, SCHEU-DENTAL launched the SCHEU anchor: prefabricated wire elements consisting of mouth-resistant and highly corrosion-resistant stainless steel alloys. To this day, it is unrivalled in holding and spring force and is still part of the SCHEU-DENTAL range.

In 1926, dentist Rudolf Scheu founded the company SCHEU & WITTMER together with Ewald Wittmer in Hagen, North Rhine-Westphalia.

What characterises our quality?

Our quality

We want to offer you dental technology that takes you further. This includes both long-lasting and reliable classics that have been part of our range for decades, as well as innovative products that offer new and efficient solutions for dental technology. That is why we are constantly asking ourselves: What challenges do our quality products face?
What can be improved with the latest technology? Which industry offers us developments that we can utilise for the dental sector? We then translate these as a solution into a new product that simplifies the day-to-day work of dental technicians and dentists in the long term. In doing so, we regularly put the quality of our products - whether classic or new - are regularly put to the test.

As a manufacturer of medical devices, we also bear a special responsibility. That is why we comply with the requirements of the EU Medical Device Regulation 2017/745 (MDR) with the utmost care. Our products stand for the highest standards of quality, safety and performance – confirmed by our MDR certification.
